Blue Angel Car Show

When Brittany was young, she would sit on the porch every day after school and watch the neighbor pull into the driveway in a light blue Thunderbird. She told her mom it was the most beautiful car she had ever seen. She said the color matched her eyes. She used to say that one day, when she could work and save, she would own one.

She passed away at 14. She never got the chance.

Ten years later, Phil tracked down the exact car in New Hampshire. A rare color, only a handful ever made. They brought it home. And every year since, the Blue Angel has carried Brittany into the show with her family.

What started as one family's way of showing up became something none of us could have anticipated. Hundreds of cars. Hundreds of families. People who have lost someone. People who are fighting. People who just needed to be in a room where everyone else understands.

This is the 7th Annual Blue Angel Car Show. Every dollar raised goes to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Brittany used to say: ‘Be the reason someone smiles today.’

She still is.
