Independent initiative. The Keep the Light On Project is an independent community initiative founded by the family of Brittany Marie Petrocca. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). All donations made through Team Brittany are processed by AFSP via DonorDrive; we do not collect or hold donor funds.
Tax status. The Keep the Light On Project is not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations to AFSP via Team Brittany are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law as contributions to AFSP, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Other purchases on this site are not tax-deductible.
